Mr. Cherry and I have been having a debate for quite awhile about whether we should have a shuttle at our wedding. It has been a long process but we have figured it out! The problem is I am having a 4 ½ hour open bar at our wedding and I want to provide a safe way back to the hotel for anyone who might have to much fun. Mr. Cherry said that it is not our responsibility.  He suggested that we put out cards to people with cab’s numbers in case people need a ride. I think this was a good idea but if I am already renting a shuttle what’s the big deal? We have thought that maybe having a bus would encourage people to drink more- but as Cherry MOH said “People are going to drink a lot whether you provide them transportation or not (it is a wedding after all). Personally, I don’t think it’s a bad idea to provide transportation, but its up to you if it’s too costly.” So it was settled. I had to find to a decent priced option!

Lilac Dude kind of started looking at special wedding transportation about 6 weeks before the wedding. (That’s way late on the timeline by the way!) It wasn’t something that was really important at the beginning of the planning process, but we decided that it might be nice to check into special stuff.

We looked at a couple of limo options but with college graduation that fell by the wayside. Little did I know, he had been scheming transportation behind my back!

About 4 days before the wedding he looks at me and says, “I made some calls and got us transportation.” And that was that, no information about what, where and from whom. He wanted to surprise me (he also wanted to drive a sweet car).

In Artimino, the church is probably the equivalent of three NYC blocks from the castle. So, it seems odd to have a method of transportation just to bring us to the church and then to the castle for the reception. However, there were a few things that factored into our decision to have some alternate method of transport.
