After multiple fruitless shoe shopping trips my sister, my cousin and myself piled into the bride mobile (aka my car) for a field trip to The World’s Largest Shoe Store… or Reyers in Sharon Pennsylvania. We were bound to find something for both of the Lilac sisters to wear when wed!

Whether or not Reyers is really the world’s largest shoe store, I don’t know. But it is fairly big and the signs say so! (Visit them online at reyers.com)

Remember those shoes I showed you in my last post, well, Moon Dude and I were in NYC for a day and just so happened *wink* to walk past the Christian Louboutin boutique on Madison. So he and I stopped in, much to my excitement. And while they didn’t have those fabulous favorites I shared with you in my previous post in the proper purple color, I tried them on in another color as well as another beautiful pair that DID. While neither of them would realistically become a wedding day shoe option (despite Dogwood Bud’s tempting alternatives offered in the comments section), they were fun to try on! I’m not a typical boutique shopper, so it was fun to “pretend” for the day. Check out the kicks pics below!

I am all about being a DIY bride on a budget. Here is how I made flip flops for my daughter to wear.
I found the perfect shade of pink flip flops to match my daughter’s dress for our wedding back in the early spring. I paid all of $.99 for the flip flops at an Old Navy outlet near my parents’ home. In person they are really much brighter than they appear to be in the photo below. I bought a glue gun at a local crafts store for $3.99 minus a 40% off coupon I had, and I stumbled across these jewels in a craft bin I had.

So continues my procrastination… I have moved on to the final accessory for my wedding day. So far, I have the six inch white flower hair pin, small pearl drop earrings and some killer turquoise Manolo Blahniks that I found for 75% off (I won’t tell you how much they ended up being, but let’s just say I got away with highway robbery at the Barney’s outlet)! I have opted out of wearing a necklace as there will already be so much going on up top with the flower and such. For some reason, I am just drawn to a statement piece of jewelry (I originally wanted to go with a chunky turquoise necklace, as that is one of our colors).
My Shoes! (sorry for the terrible photography)
I have decided that maybe the best way to go about that is through a cuff or bracelet. I have come up with some ideas, and would love your thoughts on which direction I should take.
Below are some of my favorites.

My wedding is in less than 40 days. This past Sunday I ordered my THIRD wedding dress. I know it sounds crazy and I had really stopped looking after I decided on the 2nd one. I even bought the shoes to match it and then I happened to be at the mall on Sunday and saw this other dress. They did not have it in white, so I had to order it online. So I now I need some opinions. Keep in mind we are having a very CASUAL beach wedding.
Option 1 -

It's hard to tell in the photo, but the dress is ivory with somewhat of gold overtones to it, hence the gold-ish flip flops above

Awhile back I posted questions about what shoes I should wear. Should they be green or blue or white? Since then I’ve fallen in love with the colored shoe and I know I’ll wear them again (I’ve never been a big fan of white shoes). Even though both mothers were surprised at my decision to wear colored shoes (I was adamant about having only white on my dress), I would love to have a beautiful pair of green shoes.
Through my late night internet browsing I’ve found several pairs that I like, but they all have one drawback – price. I can’t justify to myself or my budget spending $100 on a pair of shoes.

I have my dress hanging safely in my closet, now my mind is free to stray to all of the other details…
So I’ve been thinking about what to look for next when it comes to my wardrobe. I’ll be making my veil this summer when I’m not bogged down with school. I’m not quite ready for jewelry. So let’s talk footwear!

In an effort to spice things up, I have decided to forgo the traditional white shoes and opt for something with a little pizazz. Although we will be married on the beach, its quite a different type of beach down in the Keys. Due to the coral reefs that surround the islands, no beaches are actually natural made, but man made with tightly packed sand. This gives me the opportunity to wear some fabulous heels, and give my rump a little lift!

I have decided to stick with the colors of our wedding, Tiffany Blue/Turquoise and Coral in my quest for shoes. This has been quite difficult as it is winter and most companies haven’t yet begun to display their spring lines which are always full of color. I have had a little bit of luck, and thought I would turn it over to the BridalBud readers to help me with my decision.

My next installment of my reference list is here… shoe adornment!!
When I saw Jess’s post on her gorgeous wedding shoes (that’s Miss Budget Savvy Bride of course!), I did not hesitate for even a second before adding this mini-DIY to my list!! I lovelovelove shoes, and I was super-thrilled with my purple wedding heels, and I thought this was a perfect way to add a little bit of character to the soles of my toes! After all, these bad-boys deserved some love… they were supporting me while taking the walk of my life right?!

I just love how Jess’s look so whimsical!! BUT, let’s face it, I am an engineer, so my glitter letters (don’t they look exactly like Jess’s?! yep… stole that idea point-for-point!!) are freakishly symmetrical!!

So, inevitably, with the overwhelming amount of wedding porn out here in cyberspace, you will crush, swoon, envy, dream, drool, even whimper over some of the dresses, shoes, rings, flowers, stationary, or food posted on bridal-blogs. Have you ever had a downright crush on a bride?? I have!! I’m talking, make your heart skip a beat, red in the cheeks imagining what it would be like to be her for a day, looking at yourself in the mirror and wondering if you could ever look so dreamy… oh ya, I have a serious bride crush!!
