Trial #3
As you know, I purchased vintage movie cameras awhile back to use as centerpieces at our wedding. The hard part was deciding how exactly, to display them, while not spending a ton of money. Initially, I was thinking I could buy mini-tripods on ebay (cost $1 each) and support the cameras that way. No such luck. The tripods are worth exactly $1. Whew! It has been a whirlwind couple of weeks for me. In addition to a month solid of booked weekends, my work life has become much bigger. Thank you Mr. Recession.
While I visited my sister last weekend, we completed a few DIY projects, which I will post separately. First up were the Organza flowers.

Rose Budette really loves baby’s breath. I am not a big flower person, so I am going along with whatever she wants on this one. We want to use baby’s breath in our table arrangements for the reception. We have a few ideas, but found this picture on Martha Stewart’s website.

What do you think? It is simple, yet elegant. That’s the underlying theme of our wedding, so we want to stay in line with that when it comes to flowers. We thought we’d save a little money using Babysbreath, but it turns out using babysbreath won’t save us that much on our decorations budget. Especially if you’re using a lot of it! But, it is simple, elegant, and will look very pretty on the tables at our reception. I can’t wait to see what our final arrangement will look like; I’ll post pictures when we get them!
If only Hawaii had an Illuminations store, I’d go and raid it! Too bad we don’t, and also too bad I already started my DIY centerpieces or else I’d really spend the $50 for their $5 standard shipping. Regardless, that doesn’t mean you can’t reap the benefits of being on the continental US and the awesome Illuminations sale (40% to 75% off)! Just think of the possibilities!

I am so wrapped up in the whole Twilight series. I am absolutely addicted!!! And [SPOILER for those who have not read-if anyone's left out there] my heart absolutely melted when I read how perfect Edward & Bella’s wedding was.

Those of you who have read the books can relate & for those of you who haven’t imagine this:
A huge beautiful home filled and brimming with fresh flowers. Amazing scents such as orange blossoms consuming the air all around you. You get to walk down a grand staircase to the bridal march being expertly played on a more beautiful than life grand piano.
