How do you put all of your ideas out into one visual place where you can see it all come together?? The coveted “Inspiration Board”.
Making an inspiration board was one of my favorite activities, so far (I’m eagerly awaiting cake tastings). There are several ways to create the boards—until I figured it out, I thought that everyone around me was so creative and I had no skills in the world of design. You can use a fun site like Polyvore and create a “fashion” board and put some looks together. I loved using this site to see what dresses and tuxes would look like together. I’ve also enjoyed using the boards at the fabulous Wedding Wire (along with the guest tracker, budgeting, other inspiration).

Although I have chosen red and black as my wedding colours, I have always loved the elegance, richness and beauty of the colour purple. It has become one of the trendy wedding colours this year and I love it because it can be so versatile – from a soft lilac to a deep eggplant, there is a shade of purple to fit your every mood.
Inspired by the lavender being used for my upcoming shower, I had the urge to gratuitously search purple wedding photos and create this board – enjoy!

Let’s do a quick rewind: my inspiration board! I made this on Microsoft Powerpoint around our half-way mark to keep me inspired to work toward my wedding vision. Ain’t it just purdy?

What does your inspiration board look like?
Trying to decide on programs. Trying to decide on wording. Trying to keep in theme. Speaking of themes, not sure what mine is still – right now it is “fall” but trying to tie in honeycomb.
Here are some inspiration photos for my programs. I LOVE the idea of a program/fan combo. Classic, chic, and color palette friendly.

Hello Buds and Blossoms! Spring is almost here and to celebrate, BridalBuds is giving away two $100 gift certificates to JCPenney!

All you have to do is create a “Love is in Bloom” inspiration board and send it to contact@bridalbuds.com by Friday, March 20th. See the Contest page for more details. Good luck!
We’re still set on having a nautical theme for the wedding, but I’m looking for brighter colors to complement our navy and white color motif. So first up… orange.

I’m not sure how useful or practical inspiration boards are, but they are fun
I’ve definitely enjoyed looking at other people’s inspiration boards, and felt the need to attempt my own a little bit ago. Unfortunately, my computer skills are lacking so this was the best I could come up with. Has anyone else tried an inspiration board they want to share?
