Although I was born and raised in the United States, my family is originally from Hong Kong and have always made sure that I have not forgot my Chinese heritage. It may be why I am one of my few friends who order Filet-o-Fish at McDonald’s on a regular basis. Apparently, only those from abroad actually enjoy this sandwich choice
. When it came to thinking about my wedding, I knew I wanted the main celebration to be more of a Western style. However, it meant a lot to me to make sure my parents were also happy and that I respected some of the Chinese traditions. Therefore, I decided that I will make my rehearsal dinner, which would include my closest friends and relatives, a traditional Chinese banquet.
