This one is for you girls on the $2000 budget. I think you brides are my favorite because you are so positive and you make it happen.
This is what you have to do RIGHT NOW. Go to your local beauty supply store or get to your Google search box and type in drawstring ponytails. You can get the long curly ones for $20. A lot of you probably know about these but you really have to try them. They come in every hair color and they look natural. Most of them even come with a jaw clip so that you can do a half up/half down style.
It looks soo pretty ladies and you don’t need anyone to help you! Here are my instructions and personal pictures wearing it both ways:
How to ponytail it:
Brush your hair back into a high, smooth ponytail. I suggest using gel. Make a very tight bun out of the ponytail. If your bun sticks out a lot (from long or thick hair) try to flatten it as much as possible. The ponytail will have a net inside with a small comb on top & bottom. Dig the combs under your bun as securely as you can and then tighten the drawstring as much as possible. Tuck the drawstring inside under the pony so that if any slips out it will not be noticed. Insert veil above base of ponytail and tiara if you have one.
Time: under 5 minutes
This picture is not clear but at least you can see how it looks. I always get compliments. Keep in mind [BONUS] that unlike real hair these curls will stay exactly the way they are, they will not loosen or fall out.

For some people, the cake is the centerpiece of their wedding reception. But in this economy, many may not be able to afford the grand wedding cake of their dreams. Here are a few tips I learned along the way to save money on your cake:

From marthastewart.com
• Ask for a smaller wedding cake for display in the reception room and order sheet cakes for the servers to cut and serve to your guests. This will save a lot of money in labor fees!
• Stick with one flavor for every layer. When you have too many different things, it gets costly
• Use false tiers to create the look of an expensive layered cake. Just don’t forget they’re fake when you and your fiancé are cutting the cake!
• Have cupcakes instead! These small treats do not require the same amount of décor from the baker and you should not have to pay a cake cutting fee to the venue/caterer.
Do you have any other suggestions for saving money?
I am so wrapped up in the whole Twilight series. I am absolutely addicted!!! And [SPOILER for those who have not read-if anyone's left out there] my heart absolutely melted when I read how perfect Edward & Bella’s wedding was.

Those of you who have read the books can relate & for those of you who haven’t imagine this:
A huge beautiful home filled and brimming with fresh flowers. Amazing scents such as orange blossoms consuming the air all around you. You get to walk down a grand staircase to the bridal march being expertly played on a more beautiful than life grand piano.

I’m just delighted to be here. My name is Dahlia Bud, and I’m a new blogger here on Bridal Buds. I wanted to introduce myself and tell you what to expect from me.
About Me:
I am not a bridey bride. I knew up front that I would have fun planning my wedding. I knew little of what I wanted, but knew more of what I didn’t. I didn’t want a poof dress, or $500 shoes, and I don’t want a garter or that horrible thing they do with it. I wanted some serious DIY elements and my personal style. My fiance, Dahlia Dude, and I wanted to give ourselves some time to be engaged and really enjoy this planning process.
So we waited a month before planning anything.
And then I was shocked.
Just shocked.
