Priscilla of Boston is Closing its Doors with My Dress Still Inside?!

September 13th, 2011 by

Right now I’m in a bit of a wedding planning lull.  My law school semester has just started, Mr. Peach has graduated and received his MBA and started working and summer is slowly saying goodbye.  However, the past 72 hours have been wedding madness!!

So remember when I wrote about my bridesmaid dress change of heart? Well earlier in August, we travelled back to Priscilla of Boston to show my Aunt my wedding gown.  While there our AMAZING bridal consultant told me she had good news.   Priscilla would be coming out with a bright pink fabric for bridesmaid dresses this season!!!!!!!!  Bright pink was exactly what I wanted I just couldn’t find it.  Great.  She told me to touch base with her at the end of September when the full collection was in stores.  Fantastic right?

So this past Wednesday, news broke that David’s Bridal would be closing Priscilla of Boston.  I freaked.

After several freak out phone calls to Peachy Mom and Peachy MOH the news finally went online on Priscilla’s actual website.  In its released statement, Priscilla pledged to completed all orders already placed with them, all dresses would arrive in store before it closes on Dec. 31st, but alterations would have to be the bride’s responsibility and done elsewhere.  Still not calm yet.

Happy Bridesmaids

October 20th, 2009 by

I know that my wedding day is the most important day of my life and the people that care about me would do anything to fulfill my dreams. However, I promised myself since the first day of our engagement, that I would treat my bridesmaids with respect and that they would wear something that will make them look and feel beautiful.

I am on a mission! The mission is to search for creative ways where my bridal party looks fantastic and goes according to our color scheme. In the beginning of our wedding plans, the intent was to go with white and Tiffany blue colors. However, we later discovered that a third color was needed and then black was introduced into our plans.

I believe this third color will truly make my bridesmaids feel more comfortable in their wedding dresses, especially when you have a bright color like Tiffany blue involved. This is my favorite blue, but I understand that in a dress, it can be a bit overwhelming. Therefore, I want the dresses to enhance the overall aesthetic of our wedding ceremony, as well as, show off my ladies personalities.

Some ladies like to show off their gorgeous arms:
