The Bachelorette Party:

Myself and a few friends are headed North to the closest “big city” for a weekend filled with a photo scavenger hunt, some pottery, possibly a movie (Bridesmaids, of course!), the traditional bar hop and an epic slumber party. This sounds amazing to me!

My groom and nearly every guy he knows are headed South to the country for a camping trip that includes four wheeling, target shooting, grilling, drinking and sleeping in tents. (As well as I’m told, burping, farting, not showering and all those things you can’t do around women)

So Dahlia Bridesmaids came in this past weekend for a full schedule of activities. I’m only now recovering. I have to say, this was the most fun I have had in quite some time and the highlight of all the wedding planning so far. If you call it that.

My lovely sister’s flight was canceled, and couldn’t fly in until the following morning, so it felt like a delayed start. Friday morning, BM 1 arrived with MOH/sister and we started on our way. After a brunch Brooklyn style, we walked around the lovely neighborhood of Soho, on the lookout for sunglasses and a bottle of wine.

Last weekend was my bachelorette party.  I never thought I would have wanted a full blown Bachelorette Party (minus the strippers).  But I had one and I LOVED IT.

I have the greatest friends.

We started our night off with dinner and drinks at Rickshaw.  It was Rickshaws last night open because they are opening a new restaurant in another part of town, but the food was amazing as always and the drinks were yummy too.

Dear bridalbuds… I have been missing in action for a couple of months because of all my wedding planning… but I am now a married woman! I’m so happy it is hard to describe in words how I feel… Our wedding turned out better than expected, not a single mistake, not a single regret, and all our guests left saying “We have never seen something like this and don’t think another wedding will ever top this one!”…. which was exactly our goal.
