About Me:

I am a student, seeking a Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy. I am a self-defined crazy cat lady. I love anything DIY and will try any craft you offer me (except for knitting...I'm not that ambidextrous.) I am so excited to be planning my wedding to the love of my life and my best friend. Our wedding will be a traditional affair with a bit of a modern twist and a whole lot of DIY. I love reading wedding blogs and anything fun that I find I'll be sure to share!

How We Met:

The story of how we met is a little bit different. I was sitting on Facebook one evening and I was just browsing around. My newsfeed said that one of my friends had befriended someone new, so I clicked on his name and saw that he went to the same school as I did. I sent him a friend request and we started chatting about school. The rest is history...we started dating a few weeks later and haven't looked back!

The Engagement Story:

It was the day of my college graduation and we had gone out to dinner with my parents and some friends. We were keeping my 8 year old nephew for the next few days because he was on Christmas break and Violet Dude suggested we go get ice cream at a place that wasn't quite local. I was sort of confused, but after a little persuasion I decided to go. So, we went to the ice cream shop and had ice cream and as we were going to leave he stole my car keys from me and said "I'll drive." I knew something wasn't right when he turned the wrong direction out of the parking lot and started heading toward a nearby park. This park was where we had our first date, three years before. I need to mention that it was December in Ohio, and it was also 9:00 at night...so it was pitch black outside, freezing cold, and there was ice all over the walkways in the park. He said "let's go for a walk," and we walked out to a gazebo that overlooked lake Erie. He got down on one knee and said "This is where it all started and this is where I want the rest of our lives to begin. Will you marry me?" I, of course, started crying while saying "yes!" and my poor nephew who was so confused about what was happening took a picture of the two of us. It may not have been the best planned proposal ever, but I know he put a lot of thought into it and the minor flaws make it so much better. :-)
