About Me:

I am a 28 year old Marketing Coordinator. I have worked in international and smaller US companies and in my undergrad years I spent a year living in Spain and originally come from Latvia. This past summer my fiancee actually came with me to visit the motherland and meet my grandparents. I've always had a love for new places so I couldn't be more thrilled to be in a job that allows me to travel to new sites as a tradeshow coordinator. Here's to hoping I get enough miles to go on a honeymoon for free!

How We Met:

The two of us used to work together and as my fiancee claims, I was giving him the stiff arm for 6 months. We had gone out together with friends and he even took me out for meals but I guess I wasn't ready for the "it" guy quite yet. Luckily, when I came to my senses, he was still interested and we've been together for 2+ years!

The Engagement Story:

We had been going to the same place in NH for three years, it was the place of our first real trip together and my first half marathon. We decided that this was our May get away and began inviting friends to come away with us. This past May we took Friday off and went up early. Mr. Pom had been in a grumpy mood the night before, I thought, and loaded up the car without my help. Turns out he wanted to hide the flowers and champagne he had bought! While lounging on the patio overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee, he snuk away for a moment and came out with a dozen red roses and said that we had made this "our" spot and he wanted me to do well in my race. I didn't want to get carried away and wonder if this was "the" moment but then he said he had something else to ask me...I'm sure he asked if I would marry him and I'm sure I said yes but quite honestly the entire moment is a complete blur. All I remember is crying and trembling, but in a great way. And here we are, planning a wedding!
