About Me:

I am 31...turning 32 in May. I am the mother of a ten year old daughter. My fiance and I live together and are currently planning...or should I say I am currently planning our summer beach wedding. I love reality TV, diet coke, baking, and decorating. I also enjoy online shopping (a little too much).

How We Met:

My fiance and I met on eHarmony. I joined right as the new school year was starting in 2008. I had little time for it once I joined. He was one of my initial matches, but I didn't have time to get back to him. The day his subscription was to expire I responded to him. This was in October of 2008. From that day on we communicated via email on a daily basis. He kept asking to meet me but I didn't feel like I was ready. We didn't end up meeting in person until Feburary of 2009. I almost didn't go. I was so nervous and afraid of being hurt again. Looking back it was one of the best decisions I ever made.

The Engagement Story:

I knew it was coming. We knew from very early on we were going to get married. My fiance had mentioned moving in together. As a single mom I told him I would not move in with him unless we were engaged. In May of 2009 we found a house to move into at the end of July. At that point I knew it was coming...I just wasn't sure when. In mid-July my daughter and I took a cruise vacation with my parents. I was miserable without my fiance. Apparently he was miserable without me too...because he bought my ring when I was gone. The day I returned home from vacation he proposed to me in front of my daughter. I think she was just as happy as I was.

Band: No Band

Caterer: Waterman's Surfside Grille

DJ: No DJ

Florist: We haven't even looked into florists yet.

Formal Wear: Again...no idea yet.

Invitations: DIY

Make Up Artist: I have no idea yet.

Officiant: My uncle Dave (who also married my parents 30+ years ago)

Transportation: None. We are staying at a hotel across the street from our venue.

Wedding Cake: We haven't been to 1 single cake testing.
