About Me:

A-typical civil engineering, self proclaimed nerd-ette by day; Martha-obsessed, DIY crafting fiend by night. I live in Metro-Detroit with Pansy Dude and our three Pansy kitties in our nearly 100-year old bungalow. We're having a mid-sized, late spring wedding in my hometown of Jackson, Michigan. I'm beyond thrilled to be a BUD and to share with you all of my thoughts on pre-wed bliss.

How We Met:

We are both "brothers" in an engineering honors fraternity at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Pansy Dude had already graduated with his masters by the time I arrived as a freshman, but a few years and a number of Alumni BBQs later we managed to get our acts together.

The Engagement Story:

On a day that I had stayed home sick from work, Pansy Dude walked in with flowers. I thought, "How sweet, he brought me flowers to make me feel better." and then, "What an odd thing for Pansy Dude to do." Soon after he began fumbling with his keys and acting stupid... anticipating that he would ask me to swap around the cars in the driveway, I got aggravated and held my hand out for the keys. Boy, did I feel sheepish when I saw that in opposite hand he held my ring. Even though I had already made dinner, we left everything and went out to celebrate with friends.
