About Me:

I've lived all over the south (and I'm originally from Texas) and I'm proud to call North Carolina home now - I can't imagine ever moving away from here! I LOVE animals, and I have a dog named Lucy who is quite possibly the best dog in the world. She's a beagle/yellow lab mix, and she has the softest ears of any dog I've ever met. I have an unnatural love for television (which I probably shouldn't admit) and I love sudoku puzzles. I'm a fairly organized person - I live my life by checklists and spreadsheets. And, I'm so excited to be marrying my best friend!

How We Met:

Iris Dude and I met in college. He had been in the theater program for a while, and I finally got up the nerve to audition for a show (Grease!) We met at auditions, and discovered we had several mutual friends. Thanks to those friends, we ended up in the same place at the same time quite often, and after both getting cast in the show, it was only a matter of time before we were dating. That was almost 4 years ago, and here we are now, planning our wedding!

The Engagement Story:

We weren't really planning on getting engaged when we did. However, while on a date night at the mall, we ended up strolling around the mall to kill time before our table was ready. We wandered past a jewelry store, and decided to pop in and see what types of rings they had, just to get "ideas" for "someday". While in the store, we both fell in love... with a ring. He actually went back and bought that ring a few days later, and proposed to me while on a date at our favorite Italian restaurant. I cried, and the kitchen staff cheered for us. Plus, we totally got a free meal out of it.
