    About Me:

    I'm an active person who loves sports, the outdoors, working out, traveling and having fun with friends and family. I'm a very organized person and I love to plan parties and even make-up holidays. An example is "Up Side Down Turkey Day" (USDTD) which is the day where about 20 of our closest friends celebrate Thanksgiving, "Marchfest" which is our version of Oktoberfest, just in the springtime and "Festivus" (If you are a Seinfeld fan, you will get this reference). A lot of my planning is driven by my organizational skills and attention to details. Gerber Daisy Dude and I are excited for our wedding. We are trying to be creative and find fun and innovative ways to do things for the wedding. With both of us having gone back to school while maintaining full-time jobs and fulfilling other responsibilities, it's so important for us to stay on point with all of this planning. Our ultimate focus for the wedding is to have a great time with our friends and family without stressing out over the little things.

    How We Met:

    In September of 2002 I randomly went into my college roommate’s bedroom one night and said, "Hook me up with a hot football player." Within 10 minutes she was on the phone with her fiance and they immediately thought of this guy Gerber Daisy Dude. So we decided that I would go to Gerber Daisy Dude’s football game that next weekend. I didn’t know what to expect but was curious to see what would happen. When I finally did get to see and talk to him after the game, I was pleasantly surprised. Although I’m sure more was said, all I got out of our first conversation was that he went to the ’Snow Ball’ game (the Pats last game at Foxboro Stadium against the Oakland Raiders) the year they won their first Super Bowl and he would be doing his co-op at Gillette Stadium that fall. JACK POT! I'm a big Patriots fan if you didn't catch that. Needless to say he made a great first impression. We really hit it off but neither of us did the exchange of phone numbers. I would have never guessed in a million years that he would get in touch with me on Instant Message later that same night... Instant Messenger of all things?! Since he was in college in Boston and I was in New Hampshire, we decided that I’d come for a visit to Boston within the next week. And the rest, as they say, is history!

    The Engagement Story:

    It was November of 2007 and Gerber Daisy Dude was taking me to the Pats Sunday Night Football game against the Eagles. It was the Sunday after Thanksgiving and we arrived about two hours before the start of the game (6:00pm). I wanted to check out Patriots Place because some stores had just opened and we could catch the players warming up. After getting our tickets we headed into the stadium and stopped underneath the bridge and lighthouse at field level. We headed over to the barricade where a few people have congregated to watch the players warm up. Gerber Daisy Dude said that he wanted us to get a picture together. To which I responded, “We’ve already taken a ton of pictures at Gillette, do we really need another?” (Boy did I sound like a snob or what?!) He just calmly proceeded to say, “Ya, we’ll just grab a quick picture before we head to our seats.” So Greg gets a girl and her boyfriend to “take our picture” with the field in the background. We go to stand side-by-side and just as it looks like the girl was going to take our picture, Gerber Daisy Dude says, “I love you” and then takes a step away from me and gets down on one knee. I look at him like he’s got 10 heads… I was in TOTAL shock. He was holding an opened ring box with a folded up piece of paper in it and he says, “Will you be a season ticket holder with me?” Let me explain why he said that. I have said on numerous occasions that I would accept season tickets to the Patriots in place of an engagement ring. Anyone who knows me knows that I was not kidding. Our friends knew this and Gerber Daisy Dude definitely knew this. So it took me awhile to process. Was I saying "Yes" to being a season ticket holder or "Yes" to being engaged? Then, he pulled out another ring box with the real deal... the bling! Surprised is an understatement. And of course, he had it all caught on video... classic!
