About Me:

I am getting married on September 6th, 2009, after what will undoubtedly be the busiest 7 months of my life! I am completing my PhD in Mechanical Engineering (biomechanics), training for a marathon, interviewing for jobs, and... oh ya, planning my 'destination' wedding! Actually, Geranium dude and I are getting married in the mountains, and creating what we hope will be a family filled weekend with lots of laughs! I am all about the bargains, and keeping it simple! I love to cook, and this and my 6:00am workouts will be keeping me sane until the big day!

How We Met:

We met at our neighbourhood bar during hockey playoffs. In first meeting (a casual Tuesday evening watching the hockey game), he all but shut-down my attempts to pick him up. Two days later, he showed up again at the same bar, where we were again watching the hockey game, and this time he made no mikstakes!

The Engagement Story:

I had been away on a work trip for two months, and after 26+hrs of travel, and over takeout from our favorite restaurant (which I had been craving the whole time I was in Austria), he dropped to one knee and pulled out my dream ring! A bit jet legged and out of it? yes! Ecstatic? You bet!!
