About Me:

I have been engaged for a year now with a little over a year to go until the wedding. With so much time to plan, my planning process has been pretty laid back and easy: just how I like it! I never wanted to be a princess or over-the-top bride. I truly work on making our wedding about us as a couple. I hope that's what it turns out to be!

How We Met:

Lovebug and I met through a mutual friend almost 4 years ago. We didn't start dating right away, but when we did, we knew it was the real thing.

The Engagement Story:

Lovebug proposed at sunrise on the beach in South Nags Head, NC. We were on vacation with my mother and her friend who were both in on it. We took a walk down to watch the sun rise over the beach like we usually do during vacations. There were some people taking pictures of the sunrise already down there, which he had told me he saw a previous day. He told me how he wanted to be with me forever, to which I didn't think much of, because we say this all the time. Then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I was unbelieveably shocked. This was two years before we had talked about getting married! I asked him "Really??" about a hundred times before saying, "Of course!"
