I would feel honored to win this for my friend who is a soon-to-be bride. She has been through a great deal to get to where she is right now. Her soon-to-be fiance was stationed in Afghanistan for the majority of their relationship. She and I met in college, we were roommates.

I saw her go through the many emotions and daily challenges of not being able to talk with her man, and sending him gift packages and not hearing back for days. It used to break my heart to see her wondering what was going on and being glued to the tv for any word about what was happening.

Last summer when he came home, she made the decision to leave home to go live with him. She and I talk constantly about planning our dream weddings (I am a bride as well). I know the struggles she has gone through and I dont even know if I can put into words how much it would mean to me if she won this. I know a lot of other women out there probably deserve such a beautiful gown as well, but she truly does deserve that “princess” moment. I dont know if I could be as strong as she was when he was in Afghanistan. I look at her and wonder how she did what she did all those years – listening to me complaining about guys, blah blah blah, when her’s was fighting our war, putting his life on line and not being given the opportunity to say goodnight to him each night.

To say she deserves this may be an understatement. I hope you take her into consideration when making your decision. She truly, from the bottom of my heart, deserves this and it would make me so immensely happy to win this for her.

I want to win this dress because we are broke! We are trying to pay for the wedding as much on our own as possible and without dipping into the negative. We are trying to make the wedding fun for everyone, but you just can’t do it cheap and make everyone happy. This dress is beautiful, same size everything.

  3. Amanda ANOH Says:

OMG!!! IT LOOKS SIMILAR TO THE DRESS I WANT ON ALFRED ANGELO WEBSITE.
Can I have it pleaaaaaaase????! :-)
My fiance and I are struggling with the wedding preps but still want to have some style to the wedding even though we can only afford a small and simple wedding.
Sorry I got so excited I forgot the concept of the context lol…
Well, I would love to have this dress because I would love to look stunning on my day and know that I will with something like this on. We don’t have a car so wedding shopping is really difficult but the date (9-28-12) is approaching slowly but surely and without enough family and friends to help (everyone is always so “busy”) I have to try on dresses with my fiance and we all know how men love to shop with us! which makes it even more stressful on the bride: ME. Therefore if I was to win your dress I know it would definitely alleviate some of the stress and allow us to use the money elsewhere.
Thank you for the consideration and I promise to send you pictures!!
    <3 Amanda

This dress is beautiful! I am planning to rent my dress from a wedding center because i did not think i could afford a beautiful dress like this one. This is exactly how i would imagine it to be: sweet heart, corset, A-line, and it is my size! I’ve been to many sample sales and no luck in finding a dress that i love and can afford. I’ll be getting married in May 2012 to my high school sweet heart which I have been dating for more than 10 years! Altho it felt nothing like it, and i believe that true love is unconditional because to us getting married is a bonus since finding each other is truly the jackpot. I would love to wear this dress for my wedding!

If I win this dress I will definitely pass it on to my daughter for her wedding. It will def be a story to tell that an angel gave me the best wedding present ever!

  5. Sarah Torrens Says:

My mom keeps stressing to me how weddings didn’t use to be what they are today. That she had a simple white sheath dress, a church ceremony (complete with leisure suits for the guys) and a party in her sister-in-law’s tiny house afterwards. They didn’t have gorgeous flowers, her sister-in-law made the cake– it was as simple and inexpensive as possible. I know my mom and dad deserved so much more, and they have been married an amazing 35 years so far. It just goes to show you that no matter how simple a wedding is, it’s the marriage that truly matters. The two people involved are what matters. That you truly love each other and want to spend the rest of your life together.

Because of this, I am also having a very simple wedding. Nothing grand, nothing over-the-top. But just like every other girl out there, I would really love to have this one opportunity, this once-in-a-lifetime chance to dress like a princess. To have my special day and be gorgeous for my husband-to-be (even though he would love me in a burlap sack)! This dress is spectacular and would make me beautiful for my big day. No one would notice the simple decor or lack of flowers. And that man I want to spend the rest of my life with–the one waiting at the altar–would be in awe. That’s what matters the most. I want to be the perfect bride on my perfect day, no matter how simple everything else around me is!

“Waste of Money..” That’s the first thing that came to my mind when Rex which is my boyfriend -for 6yrs-and-husband-to-be proposed for a church wedding since both of our family is Catholic and church wedding is a must, though you need to have like $4,500 for church wedding in which for ordinary employee gaining $300 paycheck per month is a luxurious event so to cut off some cost for the wedding I decided to borrow the wedding dress of my friend (desperate move plan A), just went to there house and asked if she will allow it as I expected she said NO., (which I thought she would say, I just tried my luck) so back to the drawing board and guess will do some search in the web for rent a wedding dress (desperate move plan B and btw no more plan C)

And out of nowhere this site came up, I was browsing for Online Invitation again to lessen the expense and BOOM!! — That Wedding Dress just caught my eye and wish to have this for my wedding and the fact its for FREE.. oh come on.. Is this for real?., I know I sound desperate but I guess I’am, we all do. I just want to let you know that If in case this is for real and someone will take this home and have this as their Wedding Dress, WOW.. They or I will look stunning, drop dead gorgeous and uniquely beautiful and elegant in our ways, but in my case I’ll will look like a celebrity or maybe much better than a that, once they see me on that gown my friends will see a Woman getting married who is not compromising others which all girls normally do, though we are not aware we are doing it, so basically this dress will NOT just be dress in my wedding it will give me another perspective of being ME just for one day but will treasure every single secs. of it.

    PS:
Of course it will be so cool and weird that this is for Free.. so static.. and I want to see my family and friends reaction that I got this for FREE!! and wait for my husband to be reaction when I walk in the isle wearing this fantasy dress. (just being optimistic) ^_^

Thanks For Reading and Good luck to us all.. Every girls deserve an uncompromising wedding dress.. that’s for sure.

I’m just going to keep this short and sweet. I just had a baby 7 weeks ago from this coming Saturday and I would love to feel that beautiful confidence again that this dress portrays. I don’t think I have ever won anything in my life, but saw this post and thought I would give it my best shot. I would be extremely appreciative and grateful if you chose me. My big day is May 3, 2012. Congratulations. to all the brides to be out there. We all deserve a pretty dress, but most importantly a successful marriage! God Bless!!

I am an awaiting bride with my man of 4 years. We spent much of our relationship apart because he is a soldier but as soon as he was done I chose to move 2000 miles from my whole life to be with him since he has a son- whom I love like my own and have known since he was only 2 years old. We have decided to have the wedding back home with my family since it’s beautiful in New England in the Fall and my parents no longer get to have all of those other experiences with me. We are on a super tight budget as neither family can really afford to help much and the traveling from North Dakota to New Hampshire is so costly for our guests that have so willingly decided to go there despite that. Both of us are in school and working full time, I’m getting my Masters and he is getting his BA in Criminal Justice. We both will be done next May and hoping to find jobs in our fields in early Summer! I would be so honored to wear a beautiful gown like this :-) Please choose me

I would absolutely LOVE to win this dress, it is stunning!! I have been through a lot in my life, and I am only 19. I was diagnosed with skin cancer when I was 17, it was devistating. But, I am a strong person and I pulled through it and I am healthy today. This would be truly a blessing from god to win this gorgeous dress!

  11. Janna Says:

The love of my life and I are finally at a place where we want to plan our wedding. When we began dating he was a soldier and I was in my undergrad. When I was graduating and planning to move to the city he was based in, he was deployed. We spent much of our relationship apart because of the Army and when he was back and discharged he was excited to move to his home in North Dakota where he has a son, whom I’ve known and loved since he was two years old. I made the decision to move from New Hampshire to North Dakota because I could not imagine any other path for my life. Both of us are extremely close to our families and I feel bad that my parents are missing out on things and we want to expand our family soon after the wedding so my parents will miss out on a lot of their future grand children. Our families are both very excited for us to start this life but neither can really afford to help because of flooding in North Dakota and Hurricane Irene and snow they have all had to use up most of their savings to fix their homes. The wedding is going to be in my home town at my most favorite place and I would be so blessed to be able to start our marriage together in a dress as beautiful as this one. good luck to all contestants and Thank you so much!

  12. Cynthia L. Says:

I’ll keep this fairly short. I love your dress and think it would look great on me! Also, we are the same measurements which seems too good to be true. I’m getting married next June in California and this seems like it would be a fun and feminine dress for me. My fiance and I just bought a house (gulp!) and we are trying to save on the wedding expenses as much as possible given our recent purchase. I’ve been searching for a way to find a dress for less. There is a really great gown giveaway for military brides but I am a Veteran now and didn’t serve in Iraq or Afghanistan, so I don’t qualify. I’ve also been looking around for used gowns online but that seems like a risky purchase and the designer gowns are still pricey. Finding a brand new gown for free would be totally awesome. I know all of these ladies deserve it, so whoever you pick will be one lucky (and very happy) lady! Have fun with your decision and thanks for such a generous offer :-)

  13. WiredBride Says:

Hi Ladies! It’s time for me to make a decision and get this wedding gown in the mail. This was a very tough choice because all of you ladies deserve the dress and the wedding of your dreams.

After a lot of thinking, I want to send the dress to Liz for her best friend who’s husband has been stationed in Afghanistan!

Liz – please send me your address by emailing me at wiredbride@gmail.com.
