Your Wedding Hair: Braids

August 26th, 2011 by

If you’ve spent any time on the wedding blogosphere, there is one look you can’t get away from…braids! I absolutely love braids so am happy they are making a comeback.

This beautiful braid from the blog Love Maegan is absolutely stunning!  The link includes a tutorial to show you how to do it yourself and trust me, you can! I just tried it out and it was a success!  With a few more tries and a little bit of patience, I could have the “perfect” side braid updo.

Don’t believe me? Let me show you!

Attempt #1: Super messy, don’t judge!  I wanted to “test” it to see if it was even worth trying!

Since I deemed it worthy of trying, I took a little bit more time for the second attempt!

Attempt #2: See! Not exactly the same as the first picture, but pretty close!

What do you think? Would you wear braids on your wedding day? Would you do your own hair on the day of the wedding?

We love the look of the low, side French braid for brides and bridesmaids. Such a casual, chic look that would look great with a vintage wedding or outdoor wedding. We like the new trend, but not sure if we’d be brave enough to tackle it on our own. . . Thanks for the tutorial, we’ll be sharing it with our brides!

I always loved braids! My daughter wore a half up and down french braid almost everyday in elementary school! That being said I always liked a touch of bling to bridal hair. A simple>Crystal Headband </a could really do the trick. I will pass this tutorial on to all my brides. Thanks for sharing it with us!
