Some Things are Better Left to the Pros

January 12th, 2011 by

Confession: early on in my planning process, I had the hope to do calligraphy on my own wedding envelopes.

Realization: Some things are better left to the pros.

Where to go? Etsy, of course! And I found Kristen, the calligraphy genius with incredibly affordable prices.

I was torn between two fonts:

Holly font.

Anna font.

So I ordered samples, and they arrived last week… and are stunning. Kristen addressed the samples to me using her calligraphy, and my parents, who were home and retrieved the mail, knew right away what this envelope was for. And I think that’s the idea… that our guests will see their names, beautifully written in this gorgeous calligraphy, and know that inside this envelope holds something special. Like our wedding invitation!

I can’t wait to see the final product, and I am so thrilled to have found our calligrapher!

Anyone else have a love for pretty handwriting?

So pretty! I really love the Holly Font. I’m going against proper etiquette and printing the addresses on labels, but I love the look of a great calligrapher. I had a set of those pens when I was a kid, but the hobby went no where lol. Your invites are going to look fantastic.

I love these! The Anna font is beautiful. This will really make your invites look classy – which one did you pick?
