Work and weddings |

I have a confession to make…
I’m writing this blog while at work!
There seems to be some debate in the wedding world about whether it’s ok to plan your wedding from work (especially since the majority of brides are working women).

I don’t know where the line between ok to plan at work and wasting company time is. But I can say that I’m sitting here at my desk just being available while I type this post. As an office assistant I have the luxury of sitting in front of a computer and often having nothing to do (like right now!). I feel this time that I’m required to be present but not involved is great for researching wedding things, sending emails and sometimes even writing blogs.
If I had a task to do at this moment, I would not be writing this blog. Because the last thing I want to do is jeopardize my job in order to plan our wedding. How else do I expect us to pay for our wedding?
When and where at work is it appropriate to work on planning your wedding?

I don’t think planning at work is an option for me unless I do it during my break. As a daycare preschool teacher, I can’t help but feel a bit of envy at even the THOUGHT of having nothing to do. I have so much to do at work I can’t even fathom thinking about my wedding while at work. It kind of burns me up to think that people are being paid more than me in jobs where they can afford to be bored, though. :/

Ermmm… I’m at work now, it’s quiet, but that will change in a few weeks… then I won’t have chance to give plans a second thought during office hours!
