Old Photos |

A big trend in weddings is to incorporate old photos into the wedding, whether it be through a slide show, photo album, guest book, or other. It seems to be one of the less talked about trends when it comes to DIY and planning issues, but I think its a big thing. I have 3 different ways that I plan on incorporating photos into my wedding, and each will be for a different “day”.
1) For my bridal shower, my mom pulled together a bunch of good photos and put them in a small accordion binder and passed it around. It was very cute, it mostly consisted of photos of the two of us, and each independently as kids.
2) For my rehearsal dinner, we will take some photos (either together, or before we met) and place them into table number holders to display two pics (either side) at each table. We hope this will encourage guests to mingle and check out all the photos (its very informal).
3) For the wedding day, we will frame a photo of each of our parents on their wedding day and put it near the guestbook table, along with our favorite photo of us.
These are just my ideas, we don’t have planned a slideshow, but I think we still incorporate some of our favorites in a meaningful way. What ways have you incorporated your own photos into your big day (or surrounding events?) I’m sure there are tons of more ideas, please share!
