Maga’s Wedding Favors, part 2 |

One afternoon, my mother called with a fabulous idea that Towie Bear and I decided to use for our summer wedding. My parents offered to purchase all of the materials from Puerto Rico.
Our wedding favor was an Ivory box with a small bouquet of calla lilies and white flowers on top. And of course the tiffany blue ribbon wrapped around the box with a bow on top. MOH and my best friend Cara, were to thankful that the bows were pre-made in Puerto Rico. We realized that this would save us a lot of time!
Inside these lovely boxes was a small picture frame that actually matched our large picture frame (given to our bridal party), cake topper, cake cutting set and toasting flutes.
Here is MOH with he gorgeous smile helping me and Cara assemble the bouquets. She did a fantastic job! And of course my friend Cara was the team lead for this project. My mother sent us a sample box and Cara immediately noticed how it all worked. This project took a good 4-5 hours.

Unfortunately, it was so complicated in my eyes, that I was unable to write down a “how to” instructions list. If you are interested in developing this ideas, the following are my recommendations on what to purchase:
1. What is going inside the box? Whatever it is (picture frame, ornament, ceramic piece, etc), you need to measure the gift in order to determine step
2. Boxes
How many boxes will you purchase? Remember that you will give one per family.
3. Decorations
If you want a fabulous bouquet on top, you’ll need to determine how big it will be. This way you’ll know how many flowers, ribbon and glue sticks you’ll need.
Don’t forget the glue gun for the bouquet and ribbon and glue dots to close the boxes. Good luck!

I love the bouquets you’ve added to the ribbon trimming, a nice contrast against the ivory box.
