Least Favorite Thing |

I have this theory that every DIY bride (no matter how much they enjoy the wedding planning and DIY components) eventually comes across some aspect of the wedding that she thinks just plan sucks. Some brides hate making the table arrangements. Now, mind you, I have not yet gotten to that part yet. So for me, that is not my least favorite thing. So what is? What has stressed me out beyond belief, what did I procrastinate doing until I could put it off no longer, what was my least favorite thing?
Compiling the address list for our invitations. To some brides this may seem simple, but for me this was by far the most stressful and un-fun part of the wedding planning thus far. I hated thinking about how to address people “Mr. and Mrs. John Doe” or “Mrs. Jane Doe and Mr. John Doe”. Making sure and double checking the street numbers and names for the roads, not to mention zip codes. I hated making sure I had the spelling of everyone’s name correct (double and triple checked). I was not a fan of calling a number of people to find out if the address I have is current.Did I word it properly, or will they be offended somehow with any unintentional faux pas. I don’t know why, but it just stressed me out. All in all, I hated it. And let me tell you, THANK GOODNESS I didn’t have to hand write those envelopes! I might have had a bridzilla moment. I don’t have good penmanship in the first place, so the idea of me writing out all those addresses and having them be anything more than legible was just not going to happen. So I thank my wonderful Maid of Honor who ever so graciously accepted my plea for help on that account. Else, it would have been to the printer (gasp!). All I can say now is, I’m glad its over. I’m looking forward to moving on to more fun things, like pew bows!
What is/was your least favorite thing?

I’d have to agree with you on the addresses!! It’s been torture to collect everyone’s addresses.
On a different note, my guests addresses will not be written out–I am using printed labels. ::gasp:: It’s just easier that way for me and I downloaded pretty fonts from http://www.dafont.com to play around with and make them nice. I guess to me, receiving an envelope with an address label isn’t a huge deal to me and most guests are going to notice/care (IMO).
Glad you have it figured out. Another thing bothering me is to go with fake flowers or real flowers. :-/ Big question of the day!

I’m using print our labels too! I can’t imagine writing addresses, I’m with you on that! Thank God for our MOHs!
