I Tied the Knot – Sweet Success with our Candy Buffet

August 13th, 2010 by

Even before I became engaged I dreamed of having a candy buffet at our wedding. It turned out to be a huge success.  Everyone really enjoyed it.  I stocked up on candy before the wedding – getting most of our pink candy at after Valentine’s Day sales, got some green candy here and there, and then the week before the wedding picked up some green and pink gumballs at Cracker Barrel.

We ordered small white Chinese takeout boxes and custom labels from etsy.

We also order custom made scoops from etsy as well.  I created a sign and framed it for the table.  I also picked up some fabric to arrange on the table as well.  I have no idea how much in total I spent on all of it… I would say somewhere near $200…but I did it for the look and appeal of it as opposed to trying to stay within a budget for it.

My 4 year old nephew, Owen, happened to be a big fan of it as well.

Some of the best compliments I received afterward were from people who were anxious to incorporate candy buffets into their own upcoming events and parties.

Everything looks totally yummy. I love the way the light fabric wraps around the display. The overall look is great.
