Sneaking in Some Exercise |

As promised, here are some tips on sneaking a little extra exercise into your daily routine.

Take the stairs- stairs are awesome for toning legs. Lilac Mom (who is a personal trainer) told me for a little extra bottom lifting to take them two at a time.
Park far away- this is a two fold benefit. You have to walk more and your car is less likely to get “doored” in the back away from the most crowded parts of the lot.
Pace or walk when you’re on the phone- On the phone with vendors a lot, wander around the house while you’re talking.
Lift during commercial breaks – This is less relevant due to DVR but if you do curls with a can of corn or green beans during commercial breaks it helps give you awesome arms.

Basically, if you have the opportunity to walk, climb, lift, or move… take it.
How do you incorporate activity into your day?

All your tips sound great when mixed with a regular workout regimen ( find a personal trainer at a gym or talk to your Dr for a program that is safe for you) and a healthy eating program. It’s great and all to take a walk, but to really see results it is good to have a real program in place. It is always best to get clearance from your Dr. before exercise. And when you have a program with a personal trainer ( and permission from your Dr.), I believe that weight training is the best way to trim & shape the body of your dreams. Just my two cents. And I agree it is also good to take the stairs & park further away, just burns a few extra calories.
