Picking a Bridesmaid Dress

June 22nd, 2010 by

I have some pretty awesome bridesmaids. My 4 ladies include my good friend from way back in junior high, my sister, my sister in-law and my roommate. All 4 are very supportive and easy to work with, but are completely different from hair color to height so picking a bridesmaid dress took some time.

I picked the dress this weekend, but I have to pick the color.

Green?

or blue?

I like the dress because it’s light and fun. I wanted chiffon because that’s what my dress is made of. My hope is that when their dresses arrive they will be ready to wear, I’m hoping that no one will need alterations.

What do you think about the color?

Blue is my favorite color, but it seems to be over used. Green is a bold choice and I think it’s more feminine than the blue. My vote is GREEN! It will be nice to accessorize. When is the wedding?

I really think it depends on your bridesmaid’s complexions, “winters” who look better in vibrant colors will look better in the blue but “summers” will rock the green. I suggest the possibility of doing both! :o ) I love multi-colored bridesmaids gowns!

I think green is a beautiful choice. I like the idea of the dress & not needing alterations. It saves time & money for your bridesmaids. I like the chiffon fabric as it is a perfect choice for a summer wedding. Light & airy. Either way, I am sure your wedding will look stunning with blue or green.

I think I may be leaning toward green, they’ll have blue bouquets. The wedding is in May.
