Ultimate Topper for a Cake of Cheese! |

Considering that our cake is literally made of wheels of cheese, it just didn’t seem right to top it with a traditional cake topper. Being that one of my favorite time-wasters is perusing the multitude of cool things on Etsy. I stumbled across a seller who made these really cool fork sculptures. Now, as strange as this may sound, I was already acquainted with the idea of “upcycling” forks into art. On one of Moon Dude’s and my early vacations together, we traveled to Savannah, GA where we came across a silversmith with fork bracelets in his window. With the “culinary” theme (for Moon Dude) and the “unique jewelry” theme (for me) combined, we couldn’t pass it up! Moon Dude bought me one of my favorite souvenirs & pieces of jewelry. I LOVE my bracelet, so when I saw “people” sculptures of forks, I had to know if we could have one for our cake. I “convo’d” MarchelloArt and asked him if he could build something for us, and here it is:

You’ll also see a small heart shaped object to the right. That is what I’m calling a “pick” we’re going to insert it into the layer of cake below the couple dancing as a decoration. I’m more than thrilled to have this unique and special cake topper that has personal meaning behind it. This was my first actual purchase from Etsy, and it could not have gone more smoothly. (see below for an image of a fork bracelet he made that looks very similar to the one Moon Dude bought me in Savannah, LOVE IT!)
