My Sister’s Hoedown |

As I mentioned a couple weeks ago, my sister’s wedding was this past weekend and what an INCREDIBLE few days it was! I honestly do not know where to start as from Thursday-Sunday, there were various events set up. Lots of partying, friends, and family and the best send-off into marriage a girl could wish for.

I’m going to start off by dishing on her fabulous rehearsal dinner, or ‘welcome party’. Since almost everyone was traveling for her wedding down to the small town where my parents live in North Carolina, they opted for an all-inclusive cowboy-themed rehearsal dinner instead of a smaller gathering of the families and the bridal party.
The welcome party was held on a farm just outside of town in its picturesque barn. The weather was incredible and the evening got started with drinks and mingling under the setting sun. Before too long, a delicious barbecue dinner was served by caterers and everyone was seated inside the barn around tables adorned with big, gorgeous sunflowers.

Then came the best part of the evening — the hoedown. We danced for hours to live music from a really great local band and drank a little too much. Luckily, my sister was able to sneak out at a decent hour, though I wish I could say the same thing for myself
