Lately I feel like I am so far behind… like I am forgetting so many things. I am not sure if it is just because we are only two and a half months away, or if it is because I am really forgetting stuff. One thing that did keep slipping my mind was hair and makeup…yeah I know, how on earth could that be something I forget!? I received quite a few recommendations from vendors down in the Keys, but I think I am going to go with Hair in the Tropics who was recommended by our wedding planner, Charlene Lopez. Now that’s the easy part. I made the phone call and of course was not prepared at all for the loads of questions, all of which I should have expected and been prepared to answer. Do I want to come to the salon, or do I want them to come to me? Well, that depends on the cost. What type of hair do I have? Have I taken into account my hair style and texture when looking at images? Um…not really. What time do you need to be ready? Um… I think around 4:30 ish… WOW I am so unorganized!!

So I ended the call, promising the stylist I would send her pictures of hair and makeup that I thought I wanted. I have been collecting pictures, and although I have done a post about this before, I now know exactly what I am doing as far as hair accessories so I am having to rethink my original hair thoughts. Actually the picture above is the exact flower I will be wearing (but in white) sans veil. Below are my choices for hair…please help me choose!!
First option is this. I love the front of Faith Hill’s, the volume and texture just reminds me of a beachy updo, and I like Kate Beckinsale’s messy back.
Next, I could go with more of a classic, clean look like these pictures. I do have long bangs, so I could make this look work… my only worry is that Key Largo in July would cause those bangs to stick to my forehead.
Last, I have wavy/curly hair, so my last option is to let it go wild!
So….what do you think?

I love the flower that you have picked too, the more informal flowers, clips and headbands are so popular today, tiaras are not the choice of the modern bride

(Just a warning, although I asked for white, it came in more of an off white tone… not too off, but it isn’t stark white. You really can’t tell though when it is in my hair.)

Might you be willing to pass on a few of those salon recommendations you received? I will be getting married near where you did on July 4th, which happens to fall on a Monday…when all salons are closed. I have talked to 5, waiting on word from 2 (including Hair in the Tropics), now and am getting slightly desperate. None sound optimistic. Any other suggestions I might try?
