Our Very First Gift!! |

About thirty minutes after arriving home from work yesterday… the doorbell rang. When I got to the door there was a large box from Crate and Barrel on our doorstop.
When I opened the larger Crate & Barrel box...inside was this beautiful wrapped box.
I was delighted to bring it in and open it. My bridal shower is scheduled for April 10th, 2010 and this was the very first gift to arrive. I began opening it…

The 5 piece Parker Bowl Set (For some reason the picture of the actual bowls when they arrived...wouldn't upload, so here is the photo from the website.)
I love these mixing/serving bowls from Crate and Barrel. They were sent from my Uncle Bob, Aunt Ellen, and their two children -Dan and Andrea who live in Connecticut.

They will be traveling down to Virginia for our July 17, 2010 wedding and I am delighted to be able to see them. When I was five years old I was a flower girl in their wedding. So it is very special to me that our first gift arrived from them. I cannot wait to come home from work tonight and to use one of the mixing bowls to make a batch of chocolate chip cookie dough brownies to bring in to work tomorrow for a work function.
