My wedding (and yours too!) is no doubt the most important occasion and phase of my (our) life (lives). I have many things on my plate right now (i.e. work, diet, puppy, home, fiancé, wedding, etc). I am doing numerous things and all I want is for my day to be special and unique. That’s why I carry so much weight on the important of having a wedding checklist. Do you have one? A checklist allows me to achieve all of the work that’s involving in planning my marriage with Towie Bear. I know this doesn’t sound romantic especially when I use the work “job”, but if you want everything to run smoothly and have a minimum amount of surprises on your Big Day, I encourage you to consider working with a checklist.

I absolutely acknowledge that there are things that will not go as planned. People may forget the things that they were suppose to do, BUT, I do believe that with a well organized and detailed oriented checklist, I can minimize or decrease the amount of surprises that I may get on my wedding day. Believe me when I say that I do love surprises, but the ones that I am referring to on this post are the ones that I dislike.

One of the first things that I accomplished once we had a blissful weekend of celebrating our engagement were:

1. Booking our wedding venue

2. Determine a budget

3. Determine the size of the wedding

4. Timeline

5. Guest list

Completing the guest list required various meetings and phone calls. I had to meet with Towie Bear’s grandparents and brother. I also had to talk to my parents and grandmother. This part of the checklist was very time-consuming. Therefore, I incite you to get this out of your way as soon as possible by addressing it early on in your engagement.

6. Save the Date cards

You can find some very helpful templates of a wedding checklist at the russell+hazel website. They also sell a nice wedding organizer that comes with the following:
