Bridal Gown Shopping Experience |

Last Sunday I visited a couple of stores that sell bridal gowns. What an experience! MOH, 2 of my bridesmaids and a friend helped me throughout the experience. The first stop was David’s Bridal in Tukwila, WA. The store is pretty big and they have everything (i.e. gowns, accessories, color coordination, etc.) The sales lady was very nice and eager to please me.

Afterwards, I visited a small boutique, La Belle Reve Bridal, located in Bellevue, WA. Size wise, the boutique was obviously smaller than David’s Bridal, however, the style of the gowns was closer to my taste. There was this one gown that I just fell in love with. I still have the image of the design implanted in my brain. However, I still want to visit at least one or two more boutiques just to be sure that I know which dress I want for my wedding day.

I can’t believe I learned so much through this experience. I had a list of things that I requested the sales associate to consider while searching for dresses that I would try out. At the end of the day, I liked the opposite of what I had written down on my notes. Isn’t that crazy?
In other words, don’t limit yourself with one look. Try out all of the styles and then look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself the following: “How do I feel in this dress?”
I felt like a million dollars with that dress from La Belle Reve Bridal. I will hold on to that feeling until I’m ready to make a decision. I found a couple of tips for Bridal Gown Shopping at The Knot that may be helpful for brides like me that are just starting to shop around. Good luck on your bridal gown shopping ladies!
