Hairy Decisions |

Since getting engaged, I had always thought I knew exactly what I wanted to do for my hairstyle. However, as the day draw closers I find myself more indecisive than ever! As noted in an earlier entry, I will be having two dresses that day….the formal wedding gown and the party dress for some dancing later on in the night. I know that I want to change up my hair for each of these dresses so that one will be with an updo and the other being down. What I can’t decide is which one should go with what style. Even before I decided on having a second dress, I had thought that I would be going with a half down do with curls for the big day. Then, I tried my hair up one day and many of my friends said they liked that look better. What’s your opinion? Here are examples of updos and downdos that I’m leaning towards. I want to do both, but just don’t know which to wear for what.

How did you wear your hair on your wedding day?

Hmm, I think I’d have to see some pics of you and the dresses first! My inclination would be to do the downdo for the ceremony (your favorite) and the updo for the reception (will keep your hair off your neck in case you want to dance the night away!). They are both pretty casual, unstructured styles so I think you’d be good with either one, really.

If your ceremony is outside and you have the possibility for a hot day, then I would consider wearing your hair up for the ceremony to keep a little cooler. Then you can go loose for the reception. Plus, I think logistically it will be easier for you to let your hair down later than try to get it up and looking good when you just want to get back to the party.
