I know a lot of gals like to give their husbands-to-be a nice personal gift for the wedding day and as I was researching what to give my fiancee, I found that a popular trend of gifting boudoir pictures. For those of you who know don’t know what boudoir shots are … think Maxim. These are sexy pictures of yourself that are For His Eyes Only.
I would consider myself semi-shy when it comes to getting my picture taken and thought that being half-dressed would make me even more nervous. However, I decided to give it a shot (no pun intended) last weekend as I knew that only he and I would see the photos. I’m so glad I did, because it was so much fun and I got some great pictures!!!!
Of course.. I must give credit where credit is deserved. Marirosa and Kari, my photographers, we’re great! Even before the day of the photoshoot, they sent me a lot of information and suggestions on what to wear to prepare. I put together several outfits for the day including some nice Victoria Secret numbers, a football jersey, and even an apron with his alma mater mascot on it. When I got to the studio, Marirosa greeted me at the door with her friendly smile which helped put me at ease a bit. The session went so smooth as both Marirosa and Kari we’re very easy to get along with and gave great advice on poses to capture the best pictures.
My photo shoot was actually part of a Boudoir marathon. Below are a few pictures from that day of the other girls!

Aren’t they gorgeous?
I highly recommend this as a gift option since it can’t get much more personal than a nice album of you! If you are in the MD/DC/VA area, here’s the contact info for Marirosa and Kari:

Aren’t you glad you said “yes!” to “off with the dress?” You’ve done a great job explaining your own experience, and your portraits are lovely. I hope others truly believe how wonderful and fun a boudoir session can be. I often see subjects move from having “the jitters” to feeling really good about themselves afterward. Thanks for sharing.

Do you mind me asking approximately how much they charge? The photographer I have also creates boudoir shots, but she is very pricey. While I would feel like I am ‘cheating’ on her, I really want to get these done. I live in the MD-DC-VA area so this would be perfect!
