I really want to be able to see the guests’ photographs from the wedding. I am sure that our professional photographs will be gorgeous, but the guest photographs I’ve seen from other weddings really help to tell a fuller story. I mean, our friends and family can be a bunch of goof balls, and I don’t want to miss seeing that! These days, it seems like everyone has their digital cameras with them at weddings.
So Lotus Dude and I have decided that we’re going to create an account at a website like Flickr or Snapfish where everyone can upload the photographs from our wedding. I’m again turning to Vistaprint for printing the cards.
Here is what I have designed for the front of the card so far. Any suggestions would be appreciated! We’re planning on the instructions being on the back of the card, but we have to figure out which website we’re using first. I think it will be great to have photographs from different people in a central location, and it will allow the guests to see photographs from people they may not know.

Hi Lotus Bud!
I decided to do the same think, and I used Photobucket. In being the planner that I am, I have asked a few of my closest to try it out for me… and it hasn’t been that easy. A few things I have learned: In Photobucket, I have created a wedding album that I can provide a direct link to people, and they can view it without having a username to photobucket. If they want to add photos though, they need to sign up… definitely provide them with YOUR account info (so when you sign up, make sure you use an easy name/password that is wedding related!). Secondly, and most importantly, Photobucket compresses the images when your guests upload pictures… this means that you can’t simply download them to print. You can purchase 4×6 prints from them, but I haven’t done this, so can’t comment on the quality of those pics. I would love to hear what other people say… are there any sites out there than you can easily download full size pics (ie. for free?!). I chose Photobucket over flickr because I don’t have a yahoo account… and I don’t know about any of the other ones.
Sorry for the essay… I hope this provides some insight!

We wanted random photos from all our guests so we purchased these really cute wedding disposable cameras and I had my bridesmaids go to each table and pick 1 person in charge for each of the cameras. This was a great idea because we ended up with a lot of different, random, funny shots and people that didn’t come out as much in our professional photos.
I then took them to Walgreens and they gave me all the photos on CDs, it was only about $2.50 per CD so not expensive at all!
I have a photobucket account and have sent the information to all my guests so they can share their photos but this has been nearly impossible… i guess not everyone is glued to a computer like I am

I used shutterfly for my friends wedding photos. People can add to it and download photos too. Its free and has worked out quite well

It seems like everyone who took their own pictures at our wedding is on facebook so they were all posted on there for me to take.
In addition to that, we had the disposable cameras on the tables at our wedding. Instead of getting them all printed, we got them put on CD. From there, I posted all of the pictures to Facebook for everyone to see. Since it seems that everyone is on there now! Everyone loved seeing the pictures since, typically, the bride and groom are the only ones who end up seeing them.
We also decided to print some of the better pictures that people took. There were a lot of great couples pictures so we printed out 3 x 4s and sent the pictures out to our guests in their thank you cards. We thought it was a nice little touch that our guests would really appreciate!

I just heard about this site: http://www.pictoma.com/
They allow a primary user set up an account for one price $24 and then unlimited guests can upload pictures to the same album for free. Then users can order prints, albums, etc. It looked good to me– and better than everyone having to buy individual memberships like flickr. That might work!
