Perfect Wedding Movies for a Girly Night-In |

Even before I got engaged I have loved wedding movies and when planning my hen night with my sister (my chief bridesmaid), which is going to be to die for – chocolate making with unlimited champagne! To finish the night off I want to watch all the wedding movies I have, which is quite a few!

But that will be another post once we had the party in September.
So what are the best wedding movies? And can brides-to-be learn anything from them? Instantly I think of ’27 Dresses’ with Katherine Heigl and the montage of the ridiculous bridesmaid’s dresses. Oh and also the bridezilla that was her sister!

Another favourite and maybe its just because Patrick Dempsey is the star but ‘Made of Honour’ is a brilliant film and also features some strange Scottish traditions. And then the wedding at the end when he finally gets the girl is beautiful.

Other favourites and must see movies include, ‘The Wedding Singer’ with the retro style, ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding’ and ‘Monsoon Wedding’ for a view into the different wedding traditions. Especially Monsoon Wedding for the bright reds, oranges and yellows. Then there’s always ‘The Wedding Planner’ and ‘Runaway Bride’.
For something with a bit more comedy there’s ‘The Wedding Crashers’ or ‘American Wedding’ from the American Pie series, which I love when Stifler fixes all the flowers and then Alyson Hannigan’s character walks down the aisle to Norah Jones’ ‘The Long Day is Over’ which is such a beautiful song, I was even considering it for our wedding!
The list of wedding movies can keep going but the ones listed are some of my favourites and ones that every bride should definitely watch, especially when wedding planning, you never know you might get some ideas or learn what not to do!

What about My Best Friend’s Wedding – especially when they all sing “Say a little prayer for you!” – GREAT!

I can’t wait till the proposal comes out!
Monster in law (with J lo) is a good one too!

I know, there are just too many wedding movies to choose from now and ‘The Proposal’ looks good!
