Excuse Me, Bartender? |

Many people coming to our wedding will look forward to kicking back a few nice drinks with the festivities. To keep it interesting, we want to offer up some drink suggestions to get the party started!
Immediately following the reception (which is outdoors), guests will be served mojitos in highball glasses. We have felt a strong connection with the deliciously refreshing drink since our first trip to Cuba.
Rum, fresh lime juice, bitters, coarse sugar, soda water and mint leaves make this a refreshing summer treat!
Following the Mojitos and hors d’oeuvres, guests will be invited into the country club where they will be able to order drinks from the bar. For this, we wanted to offer a cocktail list.
This is where I need some help! Is it cheesy to give silly personal names to drinks? I’d love to hear some suggestions of cocktails that a variety of people will like. I want to have fun with this cocktail list, but looking to you readers first to help start me off with some fun drinks!

I think it’s fun to have silly personal names. And I think the rule of thumb is to make sure you have one girly cocktail (like cosmo’s) and one ‘manly’ one and then have a few fun ones thown in. That way, there’s something for everyone.

Personalizing your wedding is always a great way to make it memorable and I don’t think choosing names for your cocktails is silly at all!
A few other ideas to help you choose drinks could be:
- follow your wedding colour scheme
- speak to your caterer and find out which drinks would match best with your meal
Right now at the LCBO (I see you live in Ontario so you will be able to find this), they are giving away free booklet called “Just Add Spirit” and it has a list of the 6 tops spirits and a bunch of fun summer drinks you can make.
You can also check them out here: http://lcbo.com/discover/lounge/promo/justaddspirit/en/index.shtml
I got one so I could try a bunch of summery drinks for the weekend to celebrate Canada Day.

I went to a wedding at an aquarium where they upped the cheesiness by adding gummy fish to their drinks. It was so cute!
