Whats for Supper?

I just returned from an exciting weekend in California.  My bridesmaid Teri flew out with me to get some wedding stuff done along with some good LA shopping!  We visited Falkner Winery and went over the menu.  I have to say this is some of the best food I have ever had.  If it is as good the day of the wedding that it was the day we tried it, we are in GREAT shape.  Here is the menu.

Appetizers
Spanakopita stuffed with feta and spinach
Roasted Petite Meatballs
with “ale” bbq sauce
Fresh Fruit and Veggie Platter

Salads
Blue Cheese Walnut Salad with Raspberry Vin.
Caesar Salad

Entree
Grilled Sirloin Steak with sweet soy glaze
Oven Roasted Salmon served over jumbo shrimp,
sweet corn and lobster cream sauce

Sides
Au Gratin Potatoes with Vermont Cabot Cheddar
Green Beans with toasted pine nut butter
Roasted Red Potatoes

I am having two potatoes because I couldn’t pass up the rich Au Gratins with Vermont Cabot Cheddar.  Yum!  I know I’m going to want to have at least a couple bites.  Because we loved all the food soo much, we decided to do “buffet style”, so that our guests could try a little bit of everything.

While I was there I was also able to go over the drinks.  Since we can only have beer and wine, I asked if we could bring in a few beers and bottled drinks.

Beverages
the first three will be served before ceremony

Water (served with lemons and oranges in a glass jar of some type)
Bottled Cokes
Sweet Leaf Tea
Beer (Shiner, Lone Star, Bud Light, and an Amber of some type)
Wine (choice of 5 Falkner Winery)
