What, Me Worry? |

So I’ve got less than a week to go until my wedding on May 16. Here are all of the things that I am currently dealing with:
- Our reception venue has undergone major construction since our last walk-through and much of the space is no longer usable
- The forecast for our wedding weekend includes the words “scattered thunderstorms”
- I have to buy card stock for, design and print 77 menu cards
- Plumeria Dude’s suit won’t be ready from the tailor until the day before we leave for Florida
- I need to finish the master time line of events for the wedding weekend
- We don’t have a completed seating chart, escort cards or table numbers (Plumeria Mom has promised to do these)
- My mom doesn’t know what she’s wearing to the wedding
- I still have a million errands to run before we leave
- Packing!
- Writing our vows!
And yet I am oddly calm about all of this. I suggest a very Zen or Alfred E. Neuman approach. At the end of the day, I will still be getting married to the guy that I love with all of my heart. There may be last-minute snags and snafus, I’m sure of it. But the getting married part, that’ll still happen and that is what matters.
