Inspiration Board: Vintage Halloween |

I’ve been seeing inspiration boards everywhere and think they are such a beautiful way to portray a theme or mood for an event. So, I thought I would try and make my first inspiration board based on my October 31st wedding.
Instead of going with obvious Halloween decor, we are using the colours red and black along with patterns such as damask and decor elements like candelabras and loads of candles to achieve a feeling of Halloween darkness but with an elegant, vintage twist.

Love this! Will your guests dress up in costumes?

Red and black are soo classic. Your inspiration board looks awesome. Sometimes I wonder in 20 years if I will regret my blue and orange color palette?

Thanks for the compliments!
Dandelion – I think your colour combo is going to be stunning. You can’t go wrong with complimentary colours!
Roxanne – No guests will not be dressing up in costume, but a lot of people have been asking me. I’m doing the candy table to incoporate Halloween, and there will be some other fun suprises that I will share along the way. I still wanted to keep some elegance to my wedding and I can only imagine the odd costumes that some friends and family members would come up with.
