In college I was required to have an art credit to graduate. I dreaded this. I am NOT artistic – and, all of the classes require 3 hours of class/week and 6 hours of lab time plus countless hours of studio time on your own (I didn’t not have time for this – I had to study party). Anyway, I decided on pottery – turns out, I was quite good at it! Then yesterday it dawned on me, I should put my little known talent to work! I have decided to make 200+ individually glazed and personalized salt bowls.
I will put each in a little brown box with a note that reads something like “Throw a pinch over your shoulder for good luck”… lucky in love, Jon and Kristina. That needs some work, but you get the idea.
I think I will do red, orange, and brown glaze I will post pics of the final outcome!!

Wow! that is a lot of work, good luck! It is a shame you are not still in the class and this counted, haha. Great idea though.

I am taking ceramics right now, and after I got engaged, I decided to go ahead and make vases as gifts for my five bridesmaids!
Haven’t glazed them yet, though, so we’ll see if they turn out to be presentable! Good luck with your project – sounds QUITE time consuming!
