It’s the Shoes, Mars!

Even before I got my wedding dress, I was thinking about what kind of shoes I wanted to wear.

Though I love the look of these fuchsia satin heels, my feet and my wallet do not. I had foot surgery in the fall, and the last thing I need is for my tootsies to be screaming on my wedding day. Plus they aren’t exactly the most practical for a beach wedding.

I knew that I didn’t want to go with a traditional bridal shoe either. I’ve got nothing against dyeable satin, but I just didn’t see many opportunities for rewearability. These Cole Haan Nike Airs are pretty cute though, and comfier than a typical bridal shoe.

I searched high and low for a beach-friendly sandal that felt fancy enough to wear under my wedding gown and came across Tracey Asai Designs. I chose a design with a pearl flower, which will reflect the flower on my dress and the pearl buttons down the back. They are super comfy and I think they’ll be the perfect touch under my gown!

What shoes are you wearing?

LOVE those pink Louboutins… and while my feet are screaming “yes please, put me in the Louboutins”, my budget so graciously reminds me that if I bought ANYTHING like those, I would have to cut cocktail hour!! My shoes were just posted…

As soon as I saw your post, I thought we were on the same wavelength! I *love* the feathered Louboutins too and your purple heels totally rock.
