Does Your Ring Spin on Your Finger?

April 15th, 2009 by BridalBuds

My ring is the correct size to get over my knuckle, but then spins around my finger.  Not a huge deal, but seeing as I spend a considerable amount of time typing, with my ring hanging sadly rock-down, I wanted to get it looked after.

I needed to get her some balls!

wedding archived, ring balls

This is my ring with her newly installed sizing beads.  These are commonly used for people with arthritis, large knuckles, and ‘top heavy’ rings.  They are quick to do,  inexpensive, and easily removed if my ring size changes.

Has anyone else added these?

My ring has balls too! : ) It would slide right off my finger without them.

I’ve been thinking about doing this… I lost some weight since my wedding and now the ring falls down. Let me know if it works for you!!

This is a great tip! I got my ring resized and they totally messed up the engraved design around the band. They had to melt it down and start from scratch! It would have been much less of a hassle to have those two little balls added! Can they add them to guy’s rings too? Poppy Dude has lost some weight and worries about losing his ring.

They can be added to mens rings as well, definitely. So far I’m loving them. My ring isn’t toppling over anymore, and I don’t fear losing it. It’s also a good solution for eternity bands which are not easily re-sized. I did have to get the balls filed down a bit – the picture shows the first try, but just took one extra trip to the jeweler to have it perfectly fit.
