I found THE shoe. It was like the sky opened up and shone a ray of sunlight on them (or whatever the blog equivalent is). They are exactly what I’m looking for, but I can’t have them.

Unfortunately Nordstrom’s was unable to find this shoe for me, so I became pretty jealous of this bride.
Suddenly I find myself searching for the next best thing to this shoe, and I could use some help! I love the fact that you can search by colour on Zappos and Nordstrom’s websites, but I have yet to find the right pair.
My shoe list of ‘musts’ include a green colour, mid heel height (ceremony on grass), not too strappy, and under $200. Also, they must go with my recently purchased lace dress. Oh ya BTW I ordered a dress! Huge deal.
I want to hear from all of the colourful-shoe loving brides! Where did you find your perfect pair?

I have these shoes! (Sorry about the lack of login flower… for some reason I can’t log in this morning??) I love them. So cute. Very comfy. Great choice. What size do you wear? I’ve only worn mine once. Here’s the catch- I got mine from the childrens department. I buy a lot of my shoes from the kids department because 1. I have small feet and 2. the shoes are WAY less expensive. Have you looked in the kids department?

Funny, I have a very similar post on my blog. I’ve received a number of suggestions if you want to check my comments. A friend of mine found that exact pair of shoes on ebay for $85 but they werent the size I need so my search continues.

Mary – that’s so funny! We’re searching for the same thing. I’ll keep you posted on what I find. Jenny – those suggestions are great! I like shopping for other people too (cheaper). Not ready to bite on any yet, still afraid of going over 2 inch heels. Keep posted for me trying some DIY ‘ribbon on shoe’ projects…

These are from the kids dept. (Suprise suprise.) They’re white, I know. BUT…. they’re SO close to the same shoe… which are very comfortable let me tell you. Just have them dyed by a cobbler! I checked… you should wear a ‘big kids size’ 6 it translates to a women’s 8. Have a look at the size chart on their page. It runs pretty true…. if not a little large in the women’s favor. Hope that helps!

Pansy! I’m loving it! Am I the last person to find out that I can shop in the kid’s department? Likely. These are great! I’m going to take another look at other dye-able shoes this weekend, then hopefully I’m onto something. Do shoe dyes come in that gorgeous green do we figure?

I wanted shoes exactly like this, but the only ones I could find had a high heel or were super expensive. So, I opted for dyables. I bought this one: http://dyeablesshoes.stores.yahoo.net/dy-40339.html (“Lovely” style) and dyed it the green color above. They look fantastic and are so comfortable and cost me about $80. Local bridal shops should be able to help you out with purchasing and picking the color… I wanted something with a wider heel, too, since I’m getting married outside at a vineyard and not only are we in grass, but there are rock paths. I think these should work well for me, although you might prefer some without straps. Hope this helps!
