haha, I love the panty idea Mary! I have never heard of it =)

At my MOH’s bridal shower we separated into groups (say 3-5 people) per group and each group got 1(maybe 2) rolls of toilet paper and we had to make a dress for one person in our group and then everyone voted on which group made the best tp dress =) It was pretty funny, and the bride doesn’t have to participate, she can vote or decorate one of her friends. Just make sure you have enough prizes for everyone in the group.

My favorite game is the “panty game”. Everyone brings a pair of panties and as they arrive they are numbered and hung on a clothesline. Then everyone has to decide on a piece of paper who brought which pair: 1. Janet, 2. Sue, etc. Then the bride gets all the panties. Your guests can bring “granny panties” or sexy little black ones. It is great fun.

I just had my East Coast Shower (CA shower to come at the end of April), and they planned just a few games. One was the timer one that you described above. I didn’t know it was coming, and when it beeped, we all looked up and looked around like “what was that?”. One was a simple “guess the # of candies in the jar”, and another was a simple name drawing. The last was a wedding word scramble. They were fun, but they didn’t get in the way of the talking and eating. And four people went home with cute gifts.

I love those games! Especially the one where they write their address on the envelope – talk about a time saver!
I haven’t actually been to a bridal shower, but in baby shower games I think my favorites were the word jumble, because I didn’t know anyone there and am not good at starting conversations.

I am most certainly an anti-bride, so I’m not even having a shower.

I wouldn’t consider this a game, but it was pretty entertaining if it fits with your crowd. At my best friend’s bridal shower, I wrote down her responses as she opened gifts (ohhhh, ahhhh, it’s so beautiful, it smells great, it’s so heavy, etc.) and then asked everyone to close their eyes and imagine the wedding night as I read the responses out loud. It was a hilarious way to end the shower.
