DIY: Candle & Rose Petal Centerpieces

February 4th, 2009 by

For the d├ęcor of my wedding, the main focal point will be candles, and lots of them! And candles are a great DIY way to bring romance to your wedding. I took my inspiration from this photo:

I created my own centerpieces using small pillar candles in glass pedestals (from the Dollar Tree!) filled with colored glass gems. With the help of my trusty glue gun, I also added copper-colored ribbon around the base of each pedestal. To add presence and color to the centerpieces, each table will have a copper-colored organza round topped with a square mirror surrounded by tealight candles and silk rose petals.

The total cost of my 11 centerpieces was $80.98, only $7.36 per centerpiece!

In addition to the candles used for the centerpieces and luminarias, I will be putting candles and rose petals on the cake table, guest book table, and food tables. I love candles, so I am very happy to be using them to create a warm and intimate atmosphere at my wedding!

I do agree with all the ideas you’ve offered to your post. They are really convincing and can definitely work. Nonetheless, the posts are very short for newbies. May just you please lengthen them a little from next time? Thanks for the post.
