Wedding Dress Preservation Reservations

December 22nd, 2008 by

Before I started looking for my perfect wedding dress, I used to think that after the wedding I would just donate it, sell it, or do something productive with it because I did not want to have that hanging in my closet for the next 30 years!

However, after going through the process and finding my dream dress I began to realize that it would be very hard to let go of it later…. I’m so in love with my dress that I want my wedding day to last forever just so that I can wear it. It took 6 months to make, and I waited patiently but now that it’s in my closet I cannot wait to wear it… and it would be so sad, so very sad to give it away after my special day wedding archived, icon smile

My friend who just got married a few months ago, had told me about the gown preservation kit she used for her dress and when I saw it I knew that’s what I wanted to do with mine. A few stores I checked out were charging over $400 but I found it online through David’s Bridal at a pretty good price of $189…. and it is now part of our Wedding Registry wedding archived, icon smile

I recommend this to anyone who wishes to preserve their dresses, it looks like a doll box.. so cute!

What are you doing with your dress?

After getting the dress cleaned and preserved, I put the box in my closet where it will sit for about 10 years until I open it and want to see if I can still fit into it. :) Keeping your dress isn’t practical at all, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
