A Splash of Color |
| December 21st, 2008 by Lotus Blossom |
One of the first decor-related items Lotus dude and I talked about in connection with the wedding was choosing our colors. To be honest, we did this even before we chose the venue, which I guess is a little backwards. Thankfully, the venue we ended up choosing (I’ll have photos soon) goes along with our preferred color scheme perfectly! We’re going with red and gold, as they are colors that work well with Hindu wedding colors and customs. We’re going with gray for the neutral, as I think black would have made things too dark and Lotus Dude didn’t like white. Thankfully our venue is providing floor length gray table cloths at no additional cost
I found a great tool today, courtesy of I-Do-It-Yourself, which lets you see how different colors look together. It’s at Idee Inc. You choose your colors and it will create a collage out of photographs that incorporate those colors. Here’s what mine looks like:

Wow, tha was a really neat website to input my colors into to see what popped up. One of the pictures that came up with my copper, red, burgundy, and burnt orange color scheme was a picture of Elmo (yes, the character from Sesame Street) holding a Rubik’s cube.
