DIY: Boho Chic Bouquets |

This project is extremely simple and tons of fun. The total cost of supplies from Michaels was about $30 and I made it over three evenings of primetime tv viewing. I am only a beginner crafter and am certainly not a perfectionist, so feel free to use this as more of a suggestion that instructions.
You will need styrafoam to put the bouquet together.
Glue the two pieces together to create the bouquet structure.

Now, for the flowers. Choose various colors, sizes, and textures of ribbon in order to create a fun bouquet. Don’t be afraid of patterned ribbon. It may look crazy by itself, but when you mix it in with complementary or contrasting colors, it will fit right in. Each flower is made up of a button, thread, 36-38 inches of ribbon, and a felt circle about 1.5 inches in diameter.
The first thing you need to do is ruffle the ribbon. Start with the needle about 1/8 inch from the end of the ribbon.
To create the ruffle, weave the needle through the ribbon until you reach the end.
When you finish, separate the ruffle until it is about 14 inches long and knot the ends.
Now take the felt circle, fold the end of the ribbon, and begin to sew the ribbon to the felt.
Once you make it all the way around the circle, shift the ribbon slightly toward the middle and go around again. Repeat the process until you get to the center.
Once you get to the center, cut the ribbon, fold the end, and sew it up.
Just sew a button into the center, and you are done! Repeat the process until you have a nice variety of flowers.
Now glue the flowers onto the semi circle styrofoam. I recommend you do a test by pinning the flowers to the styrofoam so you can figure out how you want to arrange them. If you want to be dramatic, add feathers, beads, or rhinestones. I just happened to have some magenta feathers in my craft closet, so I threw them in. Once the flowers are set, get a piece of fabric and glue it around the cone shaped styrofoam.
And that’s it! You have your very own boho bouquet!
